+Very cosy and comfortable. Ideal location.
−No parking at the property. Local parking payable nearby but not staying here again due to stressful parking difficulties.

“Thoroughly enjoyable stay in The Hideaway.”
+The Hideaway has an excellent location, close to the shops, restaurants and cafes and no distance to both of North Berwick’s beaches and the harbour. The property is very cute, very clean and equipped with everything you might need for your stay. There is a small outdoor patio as well, which catches a bit of morning sunshine.
−There isn’t really anything we disliked at all. Maybe the internal staircase could benefit from a handrail but it wasn’t a problem.

−Cleanliness of bedding, we left a note for housekeeping as pillows were very stained and dirty required new ones

“Expensive but pretty average”
+Cosy wee apartment in an excellent location.
−There was only one dish towel in the kitchen also there was no cloth or even kitchen roll to clean up the sink area and worktops after preparing food. There was no hand towel or soap in the toilet & only one roll of toilet paper we were quite disappointed with that side of things.

“A pleasant central house with many homely touches and a feeling it could have been someone's home!”
+Location was good, easy walk to the beach, parking was free very close to property, nice and clean and well kitted out in kitchen. A very pleasant high street with good independent shops.
−Bed was comfortable but sheets were too small for the bed and impossible to tuck in. Duvet needed to be slightly bigger so it fitted over sides of the bed. Fortunately we had brought our own double duvet and so had to use that as one supplied was not big enough for two people. I understand from the cleaners that this complaint had been made several times previously so disappointing that no action been taken. Hadn't appreciated the steep narrow stairs and awkward carrying suitcases up stairs.
