“A hidden gem”
+Didn’t really know what to expect as we normally stay at b&b’s or hotels, but we’re blown away by the property, the views are stunning.The bedrooms and living room/ kitchen are very well set out and well decorated. Probably the quietest place we’ve stayed. Very clean and well equipped and comfortable. safe parking area. Would definitely like to stay again.
−The only thing missing is a full length mirror, we were up for a wedding and it’s always nice to check yourself out before you go out… Apart from that we couldn’t fault the place.

−Very tight to get around beds and no welcome hamper, milk,eggs,bread and butter would have been great only received eggs and a little milk

+Beautiful barn conversion set in peaceful, rural surroundings with a great outlook. Very cosy and well appointed, especially the kitchen with supplies of tea, coffee, etc and even olive oil and fresh eggs. Comfortable bed, good shower. Our hosts, Vickie and David were very friendly and helpful. There are so many excellent places to visit in the area - Beamish, Raby Castle and gardens, High Force, Barnard Castle and of course Durham, to name but a few.

+Absolutely loved this cottage! The beds were incredibly comfy, and it had everything we could possibly need. The views are beautiful, and it's in a fantastic location,peaceful but not far from Durham at all. Would highly recommend!

“Delightful cottage close to Durham”
+Delightful cottage - thoughtfully designed high quality barn conversion. All home comforts with thoughtful touches - fresh milk & eggs, tea, coffee, etc. Lovely and clean. Country walks from the door whilst still being less than 15mins to central Durham. We will return.

“Beautiful visit to the Durham countryside!”
+The property was so charming! It was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay, and very comfortable. Everything was done to a high standard. A great location from which to explore the Durham country side and the beautiful view right outside our door. Not to mention the cute sheep, chickens, and horses.

“Welcoming and comfortable accommodation in scenic area just outside Durham”
+Absolutely beautiful accommodation. Bedrooms on ground floor so no need to hike luggage upstairs. Kitchen very well equipped, and fresh eggs from the resident chickens a lovely bonus. Parking very easy on gravel turn-in - plenty of room. Lovely views from both main bedroom and living space upstairs. Really is a well thought out conversion. Very clean throughout and lots of useful local information, walk books, history etc. As we were visiting our son in Durham, we didn't get to make the most of the immediate location, but would definitely like to visit again to rectify this!
