“Enjoyed our stay in York”
+Location Property was clean and bed very comfortable
−No drawers to store clothes in meant living out of a suitcase for four days. The only hanging space provided was right next to the bed which is unsuitable for wet jackets Only one easy chair in a room for two people which meant one of us sitting on the bed to watch TV In the kitchen there was no dishcloth or sponge for washing dishes or wiping surfaces. Towel rail in bathroom did not work so damp towels all week

+Very clean, great location near city center.
−Nothing on the part of the hosts. The property is near a pretty busy main road into the city, so there's a good bit of traffic going by; occasional ambulances headed to a hospital nearby. But in terms of access to major attractions, the location is terrific.

“Good stay for a few days”
+Beautiful apartment in a great area. Clean and recently refurbished. A very useful handbook with all the info and some discounts was provided. Apartment came with towels and tea/coffee supplies.
−A lot of hidden costs: £60 cleaning, £35 property service charge and £10 other fee. Including the VAT it was an additional 50% on top of the initially advertised cost on booking.com. The mattress is very soft, like sleeping on a giant pillow. Some might find it comfortable but if you suffer from lower back pain this might cause you discomfort.

“Great small apartment for a short stay”
+Great mini apartment - good size bedroom and well-equipped kitchen for a short stay. Having the kitchen really helped when I was spending long days out walking and wanted to stay in after. The place is attractively decorated (love the green), comfortable bed, and a good shower. All very clean. I really appreciated the TV and Netflix, too.
−For light sleepers, I suggest earplugs as there was occasional street noise (sirens or people talking late at night) - nothing too unusual, but good to be prepared. The door code was handy, but (probably the Londoner in me), I wondered how often it is changed as it might be relatively easy for someone to let themselves into the building if they were familiar with the code.
