“Super nice place & friendly host!”
+The appartment was nice and clean, we got a super friendly welcome by Elio. He gave us lots of tips and was available for any questions. It’s a 5 to 10 minute drive to the city center, which was very doable. The pool is very big and also clean. Just make sure to bring your swimming cap.

“Super scilian stay”
+The apartment was close to the airport via public transport which we had googled pre travel, however our host also sent directions which were very helpful. Our host ensured that we were settled explaining the location of the nearest supermarket (10 min walk), the rules of the pool (you must wear a swim cap) and introduced us to the concierge (who wrote out the ticket for entry to the pool to be presented to the lifeguard) before leaving us. The apartment was very clean, had plentiful towels, and our host had kindly left bottled water, juice, tea and coffee to get us started. The kitchen facilities were basic - just a hob, however this was a holiday so we weren't planning on cooking a banquet and it sufficed for simple meals. We found some lovely places to eat close to the apartment, met friendly proprietors who coped with our reliance on a phrasebook and had a wonderful stay. Our host recommended a taxi service for our return to the airport who were reliable and prompt. All in all, it is a great place to relax and explore the island from.
−Some users of the pool seemed to resent our use of their pool. However, this was not representative of the vast majority as we respected all the rules. Bring your own swim caps!

“Lovely room and base for exploring”
+The room was very clean, and the location was perfect for us as we wanted to explore all of Palermo. The bus stop just a short walk would take you to anywhere you want to go. A day ticket for the bus is 3.50, and children under 10 are free. With this, you can get on and off as many buses for 24 hours. The bus stop is (Piazza Giovanni Paolo). You can buy bus tickets from most Tabacchi shops. Or if you want to buy them on the bus, then you can't buy it off the driver. You have to wait until a conductor comes onto the bus at one of the stops. It is also really close to Palermo's football stadium. If you like football, it's worth a visit as the atmosphere is amazing. There are lots of nice places to eat in walking distance too (around 10 minutes) or the bus ride into Palermo is short.
−You must wear a swimming hat in the pool. This is fine, but we didn't know before we left England and then spent time looking for one in shops around Mondello. We found some in a shop not too far of a walk from the apartment called Master Nuoto.

+Very friendly hosts, who made us feel really welcome, althougt it was in the middle of the night when we arrived. The fridge was full of water and ice tea and fresh biscuits were waiting for us.
−When you go to the store or farmacy, there is trash laying around on the street.

“Highly recommend and would 100% stay there again”
+Elio was an exceptional host. He and his wife kindly picked us up from the station as it was heavy rain, and also left us cookies and a book for my young son. The accommodation was perfect for us. Lovely and quiet at night. Comfy bed, nice view, and good facilities. We could also use the communsl swimming pool which had a life guard. We were perfectly located for the nearby Favorita parkrun, and the amazing experience of the football match with 25,000 spectators.Also the Francia Metro Station is only 15mins walk away for easy access to the city centre.

“A delightful apartment stay near Mondello, with excellent hospitality and a perfect location close to the beach.”
+We had a fantastic stay at this apartment near Mondello. The location is ideal, just a short drive from the beautiful beach. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The owner was incredibly welcoming, greeting us with biscuits and cold tea upon arrival. Their hospitality made our stay extra special. Overall, it was a great experience, and we highly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting Mondello!

“Comfy stay not too far from the beaches”
+I was welcomed by the host who was very nice and had even stocked the fridge with water and some juice boxes and had got me a big tray of pastries as well! He had also bought a parasol as I requested one. There is a 14 euro accommodation tax you might have to pay. The apartment is comfy and thank god for the air con! Double bed and wardrobe, plenty of space. Bathroom has a shower and bidet. The swimming pool is opposite the building, accessible by asking the doorman for a day pass. It was nice but often a bit noisy with children. The location is good if you want to be away from central Palermo and not far from the beaches (although I neither liked Mondello nor Vergine Maria 😅 so busy, noisy and crowded). I recommend this apartment!
−Quite a lot of trash around and bins outside always full,though that’s not the fault of the owner.

“Exceptional”
+It was my first time in Sicily and I couldn't have chosen a better option. The apartment had just been renovated( I was probably one of the first clients) and is modern with all possible comforts. I particularly appreciated the kindness of the owner and the fact that there was a swimming pool that could be used during my stay. The location is a perfect compromise between Mondello (you can arrive in 10 minutes by bus/car) and the city center (which is also 10 minutes away by bus/car). The area is quiet, well connected and is not in the chaotic center of the city where some friends who were with us had not been able to sleep given the confusion of the nightlife. We will definitely return on our next trip to Sicily.
