“Lovely, fully stocked apartment, would recommend!”
+The host was very kind and very helpful and the apartment was full of things that out was a relief we didn't need to buy for just a few days: shampoo, salt, oil, vinegar, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, etc. This made a big difference. The balcony was also gorgeous, was lovely to cook for themselves and then eat on the balcony with a glass of wine.
−There was an iron but no ironing board as far as I could see.

“Perfectly located for key attractions, transport and amenity, with a friendly, helpful host.”
+Fra Bartolomeo is perfectly located in Firenze. Host Giovanni was superb, stayed in touch so he could meet us and show us through the apartment. We are especially grateful that he was so understanding when we were delayed 3 hours. Giovanni visited again and provided us with hints and tips about local attractions - we were very grateful. The apartment is on the top floor and a very old building, complete with historic alfescoes in the entry way! There is a lift. The kitchen was well stocked, including a Bialetta Express coffee maker. We found parking on the street, and there is a very large supermarket, restaurants, and convenience stores very close by. We walked to the major attractions, and trams and buses are also nearby.
−Firenze and Italy was suffering a heatwave during our visit - it was blistering hot, and temps did not reduce much in the nights. Thankfully, the two principle rooms at Fra Bartolomeo each have split system airconditioners, keeping us comfortable, although they have very high mileage!

“Would recommend, wonderful host and apartment.”
+Giovanni was very helpful and friendly, always gave us important information as it became relevant. There is a shop nearby, the centre isn’t far by foot (20 minutes). The kitchen is stocked, bed is comfortable, lovely balcony if you manage to get out there before it gets too hot. The place is very cozy and cute. Could not recommend enough!

+The place was very nice and it had everything you need. The host was very friendly and responsive. You can arrive pretty fast to the city center on both walking or taking the tram.

“Lovely quiet location and transport links and amenities close by.”
+Rustic apartment on the top floor with lovely outlook from the windows and terrace. Albeit a little cramped for space but such a great location and quiet away from the bustle of the city centre. Trams were an ideal option to get into the city and station which were not far away. Superb supermarket just around the corner as well.
−After several messages confirming our check in arrangements the apartment was not ready nor cleaned on our arrival. Our host was apologetic but we expected to be able to relax and unwind after our hot day of travelling. Instead we had to go away and return 1 1/2 hours later, when we did it was still being cleaned. The wash basin leaked all over the floor when it was used which needs attention. Having said all that the apartment was a welcome retreat and sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine in the warm evenings made up for the negatives. Thank you

“Florencja jest cudowna, mieszkanie miało uroczy klimat!”
+Lokalizacja - cicha ulica, blisko tramwaj i autobus, wszędzie blisko, ale nie jest to zatłoczone historyczne centrum, tuż obok otwarty cały tydzień market. Mieszkanie wygodne, wygodne łóżko, łazienka ok! Fajne, stare meble, które tworzą unikalny klimat!
−Nie podobał mi się widok z okna sypialni - na parking marketu. Myślę, że kuchnia wymaga remontu, jest dość niewygodna i słabo wyposażona.

+Chegou uma mulher às 9 da manhã nervosa me acordou. Sendo que o checkin era 10:00. Achei injusto, pessoal sem educação. Ainda deixei o apartamento todo arrumado, se eu soubesse não tinha limpado nada. Pessoal totalmente sem educação

“Kod Đovanija se ne boravi, kod Đovanija se živi, makar i samo jedan dan”
+Ovaj smeštaj, koji nije bio samo smeštaj, videćemo malo kasnije, je stvarno nešto posebno u čitavom mom iskustvu putnika i čoveka. Đovani nas je sačekao posle telefonskog poziva, na ulici, i poveo moju suprugu gore a ja odoh da parkiram u garaži za koju mi je objasnio gde je. Kad sam se vratio i ušao, osetih neki poseban dah Italije koji postoji u tom malom stanu: ulazni antre, levo kuhinja iz koje se ide u kupatilo, desno lepa soba, sa plakarom i širokim krevetom. Moja žena je već raspremala frižider, stavljala nešto naše hrane i rekla: "Ovde ćemo sasvim drugačije živeti". (Došli smo u Firencu iz Bolonje, iz smeštaja u jednoj lepoj vili). Odmah sam znao da joj se sviđa, da joj se jako sviđa. Reče da je pohvalila Đovaniju trpezarijski antikni sto, i da je on rekao: "Sve u ovom stanu je iz Italije". To je bilo ono što sam osetio na ulazu, dakle. Pod od keramičkih pločica i taraco podloge je blistao, sve je blistalo. Sve što mi je Đovani objasnio (garaža, položaj u odnosu na centar, saveti gde se kupuje dobro vino a koje "vinarije" izbegavati) - sve je bilo od prvog momenta iznimno prijateljski, i potpuno je odudaralo od uobičajene turističke priče; Đovani je bio prosto naš prijatelj
−Situacija sa klima uređajima bi mogla da bude bolja: klima u kuhinji/trpezariji u stvari ne radi (ali tu je štapni ventilator), a klima u spavaćoj sobi radi na izdisaju. (Stare su to klime, Đovani, znaš i sam). Ali da vidite čudo: mi smo i lepo spavali, i lepo jeli, i ja se ne žalim na nekakvu preteranu toplotu u stanu; znam da će Đovani uskoro zameniti te uređaje koji su za muzej tehnike.
