6.0“Great location and large space but a better consciousness of maintenance and issues is needed”
+The location was great, it was right in the heart of Kendal and Ye Olde Fleece Inn next door was brilliant. The check-in and cleaning staff were friendly. The premises was large well appointed.
−There was some kind of flooding in the main bedroom and en suite. This made the carpet saturated, which then started to smell like flood water during our stay. Unfortunately we could not use that end of the house. Fortunately there were other bedrooms and a bathroom in another wing of the house which we could use, but nevertheless it was disappointing as we wanted the used of the entire property and had paid for it accordingly.

8.0“Good value for money. Central location.”
+Really central location. Nicely decorated. Staff were extremely helpful. Bad points didn’t outweigh the good.
−Cold tap didn’t work on bath, kitchen could do with an update, needed some tlc in some places eg paint cracking, smell of damp in bathroom but nothing major. Some comfier seating in the outdoor area would be great. Felt really uncomfortable on an evening with people sitting on the window sills of the living room and the fact there is no blind in the bathroom and the shower is directly in line with the window. Got lost trying to find how to access the place due to the postcode taking us to booths.

6.0“Deserves its mediocre rating. Looks great but poorly maintained and equipped”
+Well presented, spacious, well located, designated free parking
−Handed keys (politely) and left to get on with it, not shown around so no idea how to work anything, no appliance instructions in house or welcome pack. TV remote broken. Master bed dirty (many hairs and dust on deep skirting behind bed). Ensuite shower blocked so had to turn off before overflowed. Furniture broken (master bedroom drawers; kitchen unit doors and drawers). Kitchen ill equipped eg very worn pans; 4 wine glasses for house that sleeps 6+; 2 d/w tabs for 3 nights; hadn't restocked tea and coffee (no tea); random selection of cutlery/crockery/glassware. No bins in bathroom/bedrooms. Doggy/damp smell in internal hallway.

7.0“Apartment with a great location and everything you need!”
+Great location in Kendal, short walk to shops, pubs and close to Tesco Express. Apartment is spacious with lovely living/dining area and a decent size kitchen which is well equipped. Bedrooms are a good size and generally quiet in the evenings. Easy parking nearby, once you can find the small alleyway that the appartment/parking is located down.
−Beds are not super comfortable, especially the single beds. Mattress are old and could do with replacing. Not too bad for a couple of nights though. Bit of a damp smell in parts of the apartment, especially near the two back bedrooms.

8.0+Layout. Decoration. Location. Exceptional service from both TJ and Lawrence. All in all a very positive experience.
−No washing machine in what is otherwise a very well-equipped kitchen. Some problems with plumbing which I feel should have been tested and sorted out prior to our arrival. A blind in the en-suite bathroom would make it less disconcerting when hotel staff are having a smoking break about a foot away through the opaque glass window ! Another minor niggle is that daily dishes are kept in a top cupboard behind a heavy fire door and smaller people cannot reach the ones on the top shelf.

+Amazing location, plenty of parking, great pub. The cottage was decorated beautifully
−Could have done with a washing machine & more wine glasses.
