−Tile floors are very cold and only a light weight doona on the bed which required the constant use of aircon through a cold winter night.

“The accommodation was perfect for my short stay, having everything I needed.”
+The facilities were clean and modern. The bed was comfortable. There was a kitchenette, so I could prepare my own meals when needed. The location was perfect for my stay. It felt private and safe.
−The doona was not very thick so I had to leave the heater on at night for warmth which made me dehydrated. The chair wasn't very comfortable for watching television.

“We wont stay again. Arrogant hosts who do not address guest issues.”
+Location was good as it was close to family that we were visiting, however, unfortunately, due to various problems with the accommodation, we will not stay here again.
−We have never left a negative review, and at the end of our stay we chose to write a polite note to the host, addressing our concerns. We asked for a reply via email. We never received one. The kitchen bin was full of rubbish when we arrived. There was no tea/coffee provided. There was no tea-towel (for drying dishes). There was no table to sit at to eat meals. One of the towels was badly torn. No face-washers or hand-towel. Bed was uncomfortable and very saggy. There was no room to climb in both sides of the bed, as the space was too small for the bed and it was pushed up against the wall. This accommodation was a self-contained unit, downstairs, within a family home. We could hear their TV/Music etc and thumping from running children. A locked door that lead into the family home had a dark mirror, which was unsettling, as we didn't know if they were able to see into our space. There was no smoke detector. When we looked further down at their reviews, we note many guests have also raised similar concerns to ours, which indicates that the hosts are not listening. “Was very quiet.”
+Was a comfortable stay. If staying for some time has a washing machine/ clothes dryer and cooking facilities.
−Communication: I asked if I could book in an hour earlier 3pm, I received a response, “ Yes”. The evening before my stay I was told this was not possible until 5.30pm, as the cleaners would not finish until then. They did offer an alternative ( no furniture in another suite or a refund). No problem as I just needed to change and go to a wedding. Arrived and was not told that the address was now No.2 not 5. Left without getting changed. I retuned around 10.30 pm to my booked suite. Access information was not as described, but eventually found key.No bedside table and bed too big for space provided. Bath mat was wet? Kitchen sink was not clean.

“Good property, disappointing check-in experience.”
+We liked the property because it was very clean, well-organised. Everything was tidy and well-maintained.
−When we were on our way to Canberra after a long drive, we received an SMS from the owner saying the check-in time was 8 pm. However, when we booked, I had requested an 8 am check-in and he had approved it. We also had the Booking.com confirmation clearly showing the same. When I spoke to him, it became clear he didn’t understand how the 24-hour clock works on Booking.com. After several conversations and explanations, he finally allowed us to check in at 11 am, but we still had to wait in the car for hours until the room was ready. He even forwarded a screenshot that clearly showed the time was for AM, not PM which I don’t think he realised. We were extremely tired after driving all the way from Melbourne, so this experience was very disappointing. .

“Great unit, mattress needs updating”
+Close to friends we were visiting, so very convenient for us. Check in and out very easy. Fantastic bathroom and kitchenette.
−Mattress was uncomfortable and bed was problematic as it was up against a wall. Meant that one of us had to crawl out of the bed during the night, which was uncomfortable for my husband and impossible for me. Side of bed that is accessible has a definite sag in the mattress where it has been overused. Bed probably ok for a single person, but not for a couple. Kitchen had all appliances to make dinners, but no dinner plates..
