“Great location, with a quirky , unique feel. Lots of space and beds.”
+The location is phenomenal, based close to Plaza Mayor and Palacio Real, 5 minute walk to Opera Metro, and a few more minutes to Sol. Mercado de San Miguel is close by for snacks and drinks - crowded but fun The apartment is 'quirky' and unique. The access is through a steel unmarked door, so the first approach seems a little weird, but once you open the door, it is really a nice place ! Two bedrooms with good sized double beds are in the basement, and due to the nature of the ceiling, there was a little dust. The upstairs living space had bunk beds and a single bed, and there was another alcove with another large single bed. The kitchen was small but practical, the bathroom also small, but practical. We were staying just with three of us (parent and two teenagers). I would happily stay there again
−I have been in communication with the property manager and made some suggestions about improving some of the 'facilities' - the towels were a little tired, the shampoos, etc could be improved, and the refrigerator was not working very well. These were minor (to me), and the property manager was very responsive. So while this was a concern of mine, it certainly was not a deal breaker - but just to to let others be aware so that there is some level of expectation that it is not "Five Star" - but certainly good enough.

“Good enough and decent value. Lots of potential but a bit disappointed with cleanliness”
+The property has a lot of potential! It is in a very good location and it is a very unique space.
−However, it wasn’t cleaned properly, including several roaches we found alive during our stay and other insects. The table and chairs had bread crumbs from prior guests and the entire place was generally dirty and really needs to be fumigated for insects. The downstairs area was very humid and the dehumidifier did not work throughout. Need at least two more fans for added comfort.

+Cool apartment with a story! Great history. Fabulous location.
−The apartment looked like it was cleaned by someone without an eye for detail. Things like light switches and areas where hands and fingers touched are overlooked. If you have an eye for detail, it'll be quite obvious. It could do with a talented cleaner going through with an eye for detail to really lift it. But please don't think it is grubby, it was perfectly acceptable and we were comfortable. Just don't expect new apartment or hotel level clean.

+Kiváló elhelyezkedés, ár-érték arány nagyon jó. Tágas belső terek, kényelmes ágyak. Jó felszereltség, jól felszerelt konyha. A szállásadó nagyon segítőkész. Mindenre kiterjedő tájékoztatást adott, és figyelembe vette a késői érkezésünket is.
−Pince szállás lévén a levegő néha "keményebb" volt. Egy mellékhelység van, az emeleten, ide éjszaka nehezebb a feljutás.

−chão sempre sujo de pó devido ao teto da zona de baixo ser de tijolo literal , por vezes caíam pedaços do tijolo. Porta da casa com pouca segurança.

+La ubicación, nunca he dormido tan céntrica de Madrid.
−Que es un alojamiento que está habilitado para dormir pero no cuenta con las condiciones adecuadas ( mucha humedad y frío) y poco cuidado y mantenido, telarañas, es como dormir en un local comercial reconvertido en alojamiento. Nosotros nos adaptamos porque no somos delicados y por la ubicación inmejorable, pero no podríamos recomendarlo.
