7.0“Great location, spacious and prefect for a short stay in Camber”
+This property was a great location and provided everything you might need for a short stay in Camber. It’s spacious and did not feel overcrowded for a family of 4. The hosts Jane and Andrew were very attentive and happily came to help us out late in the evening when we struggled with the sofa bed. The geese, chickens and sheep were a hit with the children and the evening sunset views were an added bonus.
−The outside patio was a little un kept and the windows and doors could have done with a good clean. The pillows were a little flat and one of the windows did not close properly.

7.0“Lovely stay overall - good value”
+The host was welcoming and friendly and greeted us to show us where to park, the back yard animals, and lead us the accomodation which was a chalet/outhouse. This is off of their main home which made it feel quite personal. The accomodation was a good size and suited our needs for one night. There is nearly everything you need onsite and the host provided many supplies (teas, coffees, condiments, toilet tissue, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, soaps). It is a unique stay being close to farm animals and a lovely field backdrop. You can hear birds, sheep, dogs, geese pleasantly in the background every so often. A fun experience for kids. It is a reasonable 15-20m walk on the main road to Camber Central which is the best entry to the beach for families as theres no steep climb up and down the dunes, and there are toilets, outdoor showers, cafes, food outlets, mini supermarkets and car parks along route. Car parks are full on hot weekends and traffic can exceed an hour. The apartment had a lot of windows and let in lots of sunlight. This seems to be a casual family-run operation which adds charm of the stay.
−The cleanliness and general maintenance could be greatly improved: cobwebs, dust in corners, streaky mirrors and shower glass, sand/gravel in bathroom, mould spots in shower, peeling paint, hole above bathroom door, dropped patio door gets a bit stuck, the rug and sofa have visible stains. These issues didn't greatly affect our stay though so we overlooked them. There is a ceiling fan above the bed which worked but wasn't effective. However we brought along our own fan as we knew the weather would be hot. The accomodation traps a lot of heat in the day. However I am sure the host would have assisted if we struggled. It wasn't really an issue for us but you are overlooked by the hosts main property. You will need to close the blackout curtains for privacy (getting dressed mainly) as there us a lot of windows and no nets or second layer blinds. You do get the amazing field views though. The blackout curtains were not effective in keeping the apartment dark during sunny weather but we didn't mind too much.

10.0“Quiet location convenient for Camber Sands.”
+Nice quiet location. Rural view, sheep in the field outside. We were able to stay just one night for a family re-union at the Gallivant.

8.0“Excellent”
+Location, comfort of the room, morning view from the windows of the sheep's... All good.
−Nothing really, but I would say a bit more cleaning could have been done. Had few bugs and spiders in the room.

5.0+Lovely wee chalet and the owners were lovely.
−Being really fussy there was a faint smell of cigarette smoke on the towels and bedding and something in the kitchen that kept making a noise every two hours or so which kept waking me up.
