“It was good, just disappointed with being misled with the fire & the beds are not the most comfortable.”
+Right in the centre of everything which was good.
−I was under the impression that the fire was real which was one of the reasons I booked it, now realise why there wasn’t a photo of the fire, an electric fireplace is not a feature of the house as it was described .

−This property i would describe as disappointing, looked like lack of attention to detail, no bin bags in bins, tea coffee cadies dirty. Although the description said no WiFi.. which i understand is fine however there was no phone signal either. There was supposed to be as per the description a terrace! This was infact a alleyway from the main shopping street, not private and certainly not pet friendly as claimed. Stairs to bed room were very step, both doors leading up either didn't close properly or when closed you struggled to open from the inside. Carpets and sofa i would describe as tired and need a deep clean. I think this property lives of the reputation of great location and certainly needs updating. I would recommend this property for location but not for standard of property.

−The only real drawback is having no Wi-Fi. Phone coverage in Whitby is notoriously hit-and-miss, so Wi-Fi at the property is definitely essential

−First impressions outside could do with. A little tidy up . But apart from that all good . Stairs were very steep but okay for us .

+Prime location. Spotless clean and everything you need. Tea,coffee and milk was appreciated. Quiet at night. Would definitely book this Cottage again and recommend to friends.
−Nothing.... If being picky outside area first impression of weeds not good as next door has lovely flower tubs. I did sort while having a morning cuppa as I love to garden at home 😀

+Loved the location. Everything was within walking distance. Whitby is a beautiful place. I especially liked seeing the ruins of the Abbey. It was breathtaking. Good selection of shops. Lovely friendly people. Great coastal walks and beautiful clean beaches. Magnificent views. Complimentary tea & coffee was welcoming and the cottage was spotlessly clean
−Ground floor windows are painted shut, which was oppressive in the heat. Got woken the first morning by the window cleaner. Trying to calm the dogs down was challenging, then couldn't get back to sleep. Car parking was a long way out and the walk back after the long drive was tiring, but fully understand the need to keep the town traffic free

“Nice cottage in the centre of Whitby”
+Well located, near everything. The bedrooms are spacious. We did not realised that there was a toilet and sink for the bedroom on the top floor which is nice to have.
−Nothing really. Parking can be a little tricky on busy days.
