+Friendly welcome and excellent hosts. I was working just down the road so the location was extremely convenient. Property was to a high standard, all the amenities you need! I will definitely stay again when I am next working in the area.

+Location was amazing....sprawling countryside and animals. Very quiet and nice place to walk around.
−The What3Words and postcode did not lead to the correct location so wasn't easy to find, although we could have called the host, we did find it ourselves in the end.

“A relaxing rural retreat close to the town of Lewes”
+The accommodation was simple, stylish, modern and very well equipped. The rural location was lovely and we enjoyed the view out over a field of goats and the countryside beyond. We stayed during a period of extremely hot weather, but the velux blackout blinds, door blinds and 2 large freestanding fans meant we were always comfortable. Barcombe has a well stocked village shop open 7am - 7pm and a cosy pub just a short walk away; with a little planning we were also able to use the village bus service to and from Lewes, plus a taxi one evening. I had originally planned to stay in Lewes but this was perfect. We both very much enjoyed our stay in the Sussex countryside.
−We enjoyed everything. It is a little hard to find with no signs. The owner did in fact send very detailed directions, but because they were sent only just before check in I missed them. Poor Wi-Fi signal once we reached the village meant I wasn’t able to read them until after we had arrived at Doeling with the help of a neighbour. But this didn’t detract from a wonderful stay.

“Beautiful apartment, clean and spacious.”
+The apartment was spacious, modern, really well equipped and spotlessly clean. It had its own private entrance so one could come and go without disturbing the owners in the next building. The views were gorgeous. It’s really close to the village of Barcombe Cross and the delightful Royal Oak pub which is welcoming and serves good food. Overall an excellent stay, would highly recommend.
−Would not recommend to anyone with severe mobility issues, since you have to enter by private external staircase to the door. Inside however is all on one level.

“Lovely open-plan apartment in beautiful location”
+Lovely apartment, well-equipped, clean, airy and spacious. Beautiful rural location next to a farm. We especially liked the selection of lamps, which made the space feel warm and cosy in the evening. Nice bathroom with a really good shower, and a great selection of towels. Well-equipped kitchen and dining area. The washing-up bowl with the plug hole in it was genius! Great communication with our host Jessica, who was super helpful. Excellent overall experience at a great price. Although we only stayed one night this time, this would make a great base for a longer stay in the area. Would highly recommend.
−Although we personally liked everything, there are a couple of caveats for others that I think are worth mentioning. Firstly, access is via an external flight of steps, so would not be suitable for wheelchair users or others with access issues who would find difficulty with steps. Secondly, the open-plan interior might not be to everyone's taste, e.g. if more than two people are staying and want their own privacy when sleeping.

+The slick design, views of the countryside, the walks directly into countryside, walk directly to pub for dinner.
−A little hard to find - went passed the entrance two or three times as there was 3 entrances with reflective strips on a post. Maybe a small sign with the house name on it would help.
