+My sister and I (from Australia) booked 4 nights at this property ten months in advance, based on the advertised: location, sea view, kitchen (for cooking our own meals), 2 bathrooms, 2 beds and a sofa bed in the living room. On arrival, we got the location and sea view as expected but the remaining facilities did not meet our expectations.
−On arrival, I messaged our host and asked for 2 extra towels for our 4 night stay and was told, "You've booked an apartment not a hotel", so the answer to that request was a no. I asked if there was a kettle to boil water for tea. (We don't use coffee machines and rarely drink coffee). Our host told me that "the request was irrelevant". Prior to our arrival, I messaged our host through booking.com and politely requested linen to be provided for the sofa bed in the living room, so that we could sleep in separate areas. No response. On arrival, I messaged again and our host said the single bed mattress in the bedroom would do and there weren't sofa beds. Both lounges in the living room were sofa beds. We have stayed at 4 'old town' apartments in Puglia: Bari, Lecce, Locorotondo and Monopoli. All hosts (except at this property) respected us as non-Italian guests and fulfilled the above requests promptly, willingly, with a smile and without judgement. Items to be addressed: the toilet seat in the second bathroom needs replacement due to broken hinges; pots and pans need upgrading; in the second bathroom, there is a switch beside the light switch, which operates the hot water system - t

“Destroyed by loud music and shouting from the cafe 20 metres way and groups below the window”
+We needed a quiet relaxing apartment to spend a couple of days resting after a 5 day guided tour of Puglia and prior to travel to Rome and New Zealand. Met by the extremely helpful and pleasant agent.A lovely old building and very well designed apartment with all facilities. A lovely sea view in a harbour location with only a walkway below the level 2 apartment and then the harbour wall. Unfortunately a busy cafe 20 metres away with an excessively loud band playing on a Saturday evening from 7pm until 11-45pm. The music and drums in particular were unbelievably loud, rest and sleep was impossible. I music was accompanied by intermittent loud shouting from groups in the cafe. Collections of music lovers were in groups below our window with loud conversations. There was no prior warning of the problem location.
−See above - the noise was unbearable beyond all reason. Cannot possibly recommend this apartment. We rented several apartments in London, Paris, Rome and Puglia. All of the former were fine and we can recommend.

+The VIEW! The view from the apartment is stunning. Everything else is just perfect. The location is ideal and the property is super clean and light and bright. Best of all is host Francesca who is fantastic with help, tips and communication! If you can get in, just book this place!

“Living the dream in an apartment that is perfect!”
+This apartment is perfect, from its location overlooking the sea at the port of Monopoli to the actual living space. We loved a morning coffee looking out at sea on the balcony and a limoncello on the sofa in the evening, again looking out at sea. We got up for sunrise which was spectacular!
−The apartment had excellent facilities and was spotless. If I was to be critical, the showers aren’t very powerful but that’s a tiny thing!
