“First rate host and very good base for visiting Naples”
+Well- situated close to amenities(excellent transport links, small food shops, cafes, bars etc). A very good spot for visiting the historic centre as well as sights such as Pompeii and Herculaneum further afield. The apartment is spacious and airy, lift works, plenty of towels, bedding etc. Sufficient china, glassware, pans to make simple meals. Washing machine and iron a bonus. Shower, heating etc worked well and the building was quiet considering its actual location in a bustling area of Naples. The magic ingredient though was the host, MIrko - mentioned by other reviewers- who was so helpful with suggestions of places to visit, or where to eat and arranged a taxi for us on the last day. He also helped us with a problem that we encountered during our time in Naples and without his assistance we would have been really stuck, having no Italian. He went beyond the call of duty. We were greeted when we arrived with special local pastries and a small keepsake and more pastries were left in the lobby cupboard partway through our week’s stay. Mirko is excellent at responding quickly to messages and he definitely made the visit to Naples for us.
−Nothing about the property itself. The downside of being in a central location close to main transport links is that you’re aware of being in a city with a high level of poverty and quite a lot of rough sleepers which leads to litter, although it didn’t affect us going about our daily outings.

“The host is the best”
+The host - I’ve travelled for 15+ years and never met anyone who goes this out of his way to help his guests, and he always checks in how everything is and really cares! On the first day he brought us pastries, too. The apartment is elegant, is close to Napoli Centrale, Porta Nolana and an excellent ice cream shop, coffee shop, sandwich shop etc. The water pressure in the waterfall shower was good and the water was sufficiently hot. There was a washing machine + clothes line outside + window shutters. It had a functional elevator. Enough toilet paper and many towels provided. It was very clean, no dust or dirt. It felt very cosy overall and probably the best you can get in Naples. I recommend it as a home away from home.
−Small things: remote batteries empty so couldn’t watch TV, no tea towels to dry cutlery, bedside lamps didn’t work because they weren’t charged, no pods for washing machine. As for the area: well, we knew beforehand that it was bad and that is not the host’s fault

“Nice apartment with a great host”
+- amazing, helpful and super friendly host - Mirko - nice, clean apartment with all necessary equipment and accessories - easy self check-in and check-out
−The only thing we didn't like was the neighborhood. The apartment is in the Historic Center but near the central station. In the evening/night, we didn't feel safe while walking outside.
