−The place was simply dirty. The host had not bothered to change the linen from the last user and the place smelt of sweat. It was dusty all over. There was too much unnecessary furniture for the small space. The cushions on the chairs had not been laundered for ages. The electric supply to the mounted TV ran over the electric cooker and a side door and is actually illegal in terms of safety of electrical connections. I ended up stripping off the dirty bed linen, dirty shower curtain and dirty cushion covers and put them in the washing machine as a sign for the host to wash them before the next guest. They should move out one of the 2 kitchen chairs , get an electrician to correctly provide power for the TV and should change the entrance door to open outside and not onto the bed. A sofabed instead of the big double bed would provide a nice spacious seating area during the day and transform the place into an attractive unit that I would then use regularly as I work there away from home during the week. As it is now, it is electrically unsafe and unsanitary

+Private, quiet location for a good night sleep. It is a detached studio. Comfortable clean bed and a nice shower.
−Nothing. It was totally suitable for myself being on my own to be close to family.

−In some areas, the description did not match their location. There was no bath there was no ironing board and iron. It needed a bit of TLC as in quite a few areas it felt a little tatty

“A few improvements needed”

−Shower rod came apart when trying to position head. Shower turned on as soon as cord pulled and sprayed out of the cubicle. Pillow too solid No teabags or plain coffee Very small space. Was converted garage Number on house not obvious. When we rang the phone number told to knock but no one answered. We then had to wait for a callback to explain access. Not a big deal but didn't feel straightforward.

“Extremely disappointed.”
−It is a badly converted single garage that needs repainting, cleaning, providing hot water to wash up, repairs to broken shower. Collecting the key was fairly hard as the man who answered the door didn’t seem to know anything about it. The handwritten Wi-Fi code could do with the actual service provider name along with maybe a QR code.

−There was no heating, it was cold, there was no hot water in the taps, only cold water. The only hot water was in the shower.
