“Perfect cosy cottage”
+A small but perfectly formed cottage. Everything you need for a break away from home. Lovely log burner and so warm and cosy All the equipment you need to cook and eat in if you want to, inc coffee machine and air fryer and all the pots, pans and utensils you need Ideally located just a short walk from the centre and a great location for exploring further. The spiral stair case adds to the charm of the property but yes think about this if you are booking but don’t take it as a negative Would definitely stay again

“Perfect little cottage for a stay in North Yorkshire”
+The property is delightful and very well situated. The keys were in a lockbox, and the owner was flexible about an earlier check-in, although we didn't need it. We loved the log burner and there was really everything we needed. Having read the negative reviews about the spiral staircase and the low head height in the bedroom, I was slightly concerned, but they weren't an issue at all. Good shower, large fridge-freezer, lots of extras that we didn't necessarily need, but many people would be happy to have. Lots of shops/ supermarkets nearby and very handy for the Moors. We liked the quirky decor and the warmth of the cottage.
−The only thing that could've been improved is the responsiveness of the owner. I sent a couple of messages, one upon arrival and the other on the second day. Neither got an answer until we left. They weren't major issues (one concerned no hot water in the kitchen - I just boiled up water in the kettle to wash up; the other about the log-burner) and we found the answers ourselves, but I would have hoped for swift answers, as is usually the case in any other properties I have rented.
