“An older apartment in a nice but noisy central location”
+The location was great - walking distance to the centre of town, with good access to public transport. The apartment had a washing machine, which was convenient. It also had air-conditioning, which was welcomed during the hot weather. The rental agency was very helpful and responsive to any requests for assistance.
−The emailed 'buttons' sent to open the door to the building and the lockbox for the key did not work. Fortunately, the building security helped us with access to the building. The rental agency was available on WhatsApp and were helpful in assisting us in accessing the lockbox. It was a very long day and access difficulties made it longer. The apartment is an older historic apartment. While this had charm, its condition was mixed. And the central location and closeness of public transport made it quite noisy despite closing all the windows and shutters. Milan has very strict garbage sorting with 7 separate bins, and this was quite hard to decipher. The rental contract to be signed electronically in advance was quite severe with a lot of penalties indicated. We also had to use a link to pay the tourist tax in advance. While we enjoyed the stay, the level of administration required would tip us over the edge to a hotel next time.

“Great appartment, but we could not enter it!”
+The appartment was really wonderful, very spacious, good kitchen with everything. Good badroom, great bed. Host was very responsive.
−The problem was that we were not able to enter the appartment. The main door opened automatically, but not the glass door inside. We called the organisation Italianway, who is responsible for this. It was 23:30 and they were not able to open the glass door from a distance, then they put me through to Whatsapp, no contact anymore. then at 23:55 called Italianway again, knowing their offices close at 00:00. They told me they would sent someone from maitainance, but nobody showed up. After 00:00 I could not reach them anymore. Then we had to stay ouside, we were only lucky that a visitor showed up, so we could also enter the second door and get the keys, otherwise we would have to go to a different accomodation! So ITALIANWAY just lets customers wait outside the door and offers NO HELP AT ALL!!!!!

+Very spacious apartment in an early 20th-century residential building, with high ceilings, stone floors, and parquet in living rooms. Just 7 minutes on foot from Milan Duomo, with a tram stop just around the corner. Shops and places to eat are very close. It's a cozy and safe district and a very convenient place to explore the city. A fully equipped kitchen, as well as a crib/high chair on request, is a big plus for families.
−Although the windows face a quiet street, the building is very close to a busy road, and because the old windows don’t close properly, we could clearly hear trams, traffic, and even the night-time garbage collection. This unfortunatelly affected our 1.5 year old child's early morning sleep much.

+We only stayed one night at the end of our three week Italian vacation. We originally stayed at a different location while in Milan at the beginning of our trip, but it was not available for our return. This apartment was very spacious and located fairly close to the Duomo. We spent three weeks in Italy, and this was the only apartment that we stayed in that had two air conditioning units, one in living room and one in the bedroom. We very much appreciated the a/c in the bedroom. We would stay at this location again on our return to Milan. We did arrive prior to check-in. After checking in at the Milan main train station, we were given the keys to the apartment so we could at least store our luggage at the apartment while the apartment was being cleaned.
−During our three week stay in Italy, this was the only apartment where you had to check in at a different location from the apartment. Therefore, we had to go to the main train station as well as the apartment with our four large suit cases.

“UNPLEASANT”
−THE BATH WAS COMPLETELY STUCK AND THE BATH EXPERIENCE WAS VERY UNPLEASANT. NO TOWELS FOR THE BATHROOM FLOOR. APARTMENT NOT ENTIRELY CLEAN (EXCEPT FOR CLEAN SHEETS, TOWELS, BEDS ETC.). ALSO HALF OF THE SOCKETS DID NOT FIT FOR OUR PC.
