“Not recommend”
+The property is big and we enjoyed the location.
−Unfortunately this property has the potential to be great but it was a horrible experience for us. Myself, my husband and our 9 YO kid booked 2 nights here to visit Harry Potter studios. Communication with the owner/property manager was initially good, however when we started raising issues she gosthed us and stopped replying to my messages. We were initially pleased upon entering the property (seeing how spacious and querky the layout is) but soon found out that the WiFi wasn't working, the boiler wasn't working properly and had a fault code, the electrics in the downstairs bathroom were faulty, the kitchen utensils were very poor/basic, the kitchen cabinets were falling apart, a toilet bin hadn't been emptied, the mattresses were old/stained and with the springs almost breaking through the fabric. The most upsetting thing was being completely ghosted by the manager of the property and booking.com not stepping in to offer some customer protection garantuees, regardless of me raising a formal complaint with photos and videos attached. Needless to say I would not recommend anyone - especially with children - to stay here and this might be also my last time using Booking.com 👍

“Good”
+Good location
−Broadband was really weak and only good bandwidth in the attic. Kitchen was not fully furnished for a family of 4. Like glasses were less, no oven gloves and other kitchen cloths.

“Disappointing.”

−Things got off to a bad start before we arrived. I contacted the host the night before our stay to enquire about check in details. No response by 9.30am on the day of our stay so I called them. Host answered and informed me she had that morning just agreed a late check out for the current guests for 4.30pm so we would not be able to check in at 3pm as planned when our booking was due to start. I said that wasn’t what we paid for (check in 3pm onwards and check out by 10am). She said she would see what she could do and get back to me. She eventually called me back and said she could probably get them to leave earlier but the earliest we could check in would be 3pm. Which is what we thought it would be anyway so all appeared to be fine although we were anxious until we got there thinking the property may not be cleaned in time and I checked that would mean there was time. As it was, we were worried unnecessarily as the property had been vacated and the beds changed. I had already checked that parking was available in January when we booked and was told that there was parking outside so we assumed all was well. We arrived at 3.05pm. Parking is prohibited on the street until after 6.30

“A real shame because the house has great potential.”
+The location was great. The views from the loft room. The house itself was a lovely little house, however it felt very unfinished, dirty, run down.
−The beds were awful. We could feel the springs of the mattress. The house was dirty. Broken cupboards in the kitchen. Heating system thermostat wasn't working so I couldn't put the heating on. We came home late at night to a cold house (I did message the owner but no response). Only two very small towels were provided for 2 adults and 2 children. No teatowels were provided for the kitchen. When I stripped the beds the morning we left I noticed there had been no mattress protectors, and the duvets and pillows were stained 🤢
