+This apartment is especially well suited to anyone like myself arriving by public transport and/or using it to access the local area. The excellent bus services and trains from Matlock make it possible to reach numerous places. Supermarkets and other shops are also easy walking distance. The apartment is very well equipped enabling full self catering.
−Neighbouring bars can be extremely noisy at night (I did already know this from a previous stay at a nearby property). The shower control is quirky. A warm shower is possible but takes persistence

+A very comfortable apartment with nice decor touches. The location is very good with easy access to the town part of Matlock through a park. On Dale Road where the apartment is there is a good choice of places to eat and drink. Its location is excellent for visiting many other interesting places which are accessible by bus if you don't want to drive. An excellent bolt hole that I intend to return to one day.
−The TV in the living room struggled to show all channels with problems like pixelating but tbh this didn't bother me too much really.

“Great for Matlock”
+Excellent location, easy access by Keysafe. The decor was lovely, kitchen very useful, attractive sitting room as well as a bedroom.
−Shower controls were impossible to understand, a diagram would be helpful.

“I enjoyed it and would return”
+It was clean comfortable and very reasonably priced. The welcome package was a nice touch
−The complementary liquid soaps were hard to open therefore unusable and the shower gel was practically empty.

−Windows are not isolated, so you can hear a lot of the road outside (they do provide ear plugs for it)

+Fantastic location, really close to centre and railway station. Apartment was clean, warm and comfortable and the water pressure in shower was good with plenty of hot water. Sharon had left milk and biscuits along with tea and coffee. Entry instructions were excellent too. Certainly would stay again.
−Not much to dislike.

+The location was perfect. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The apartment was kitted out with everything you needed for your stay.
−The water from the hot tap in the kitchen was scalding hot the minute you turned it on. Needs a warning sign above the taps. The following 2 points beyond the hosts control, but the entrance hall & stairs need some attention, as first impression counts. On my first night someone in one of the other apartments was smoking marijuana, the smell came into the apartment & was very unpleasant.

“Filthy”
+The owner expressed an intention to supply some welcome treats. It did not realise but intention was there. The flat is in the center - it could be a positive ( in theory)
−It was filthy - simply it was not cleaned after previous occupants. Hair under the toilet seat, paper supermarket receipt left on greasy oven trays from 3rd of August, bedlinen just stuffed under the sofa seat unwashed and not changed. And it is loud and constant karaoke up to early hours.
