“Loved it!”
+A great place to stay, with everything we needed! We loved the swimming pool and the location was perfect for exploring Capelinhos. The host was easy to reach and communicate with. I would happily come back and definitely recommend it!

“Modern houses with the old ambiance”
+Very nice house with great facilities. The bed is fine and for the rest is everything you need inside the modern houses. The area around the house was great to relax a bit and you could nicely sit outside during the evening. The separate houses give sufficient privacy.
−The only disadvantage was the shower, which was very hard to control the temperature. It was either too hot or too cold.

+A really cozy place that feels like home, from the authentic interior of the houses to the warm and welcoming hosts who live right on the property and are always super helpful. The setting is wonderfully calm and private. While there are a few houses close to each other on the grounds, we didn't hear a single sound from our neighbors, and the property is nicely spaced away from other buildings with a forest behind it. We loved using the barbecue area, everything is provided (wood, fireplace, and plates), you just need to clean up after yourself. There's also a nice pool, plus several open-air spots in the courtyard to relax or eat. The location is fantastic, especially if you visit Faial without a car. It's just a 10-minute walk to the famous lighthouse and the new land created by the 1957 eruption. Continuing past the lighthouse for about 10 more minutes brings you to a natural swimming pool, making it easy to combine sightseeing with a swim and sunbath. Even without a car, getting around was surprisingly easy. The hosts kindly let us know about the local municipal bus that runs four times a day for just a couple of euros. Since the schedule lined up perfectly with our flight, we t

“Cozy little house within walking distance to the Lighthouse and Volcano.”
+Great location, short walk to the Volcano. Nice garden area to sit and eat. Comfortable bed and decent shower.
−Only a kettle and microwave so make sure you take snacks, as the nearest restaurant is quite a distance away. We were aware of all this, as we’d done a lot of research.
