“Small apartment with excellent roof terrace views”
+Small but well equipped apartment with lovely outside patio and roof terrace with views over the Douro. Central location in Pinhao - a few minutes walk from the river. Good restaurants
−Shower room was very small and the mattress was a bit too firm.

+Casa Rocha is not about luxury. It's about charm, authenticity, and experiencing the real Douro. The apartments sit above the owners' butcher shop in the heart of Pinhão, a working wine village that remains refreshingly unspoiled despite being the center of the Douro Valley. The owners are warm and welcoming. Communication in English was limited, but that only added to the fun and authenticity of the experience. The highlight is the rooftop terrace and deck. The view over the river and terraced vineyards looks like something straight out of a Viking River Cruise brochure. A perfect place for sunset and a glass of local wine. We had the opportunity to see all three apartments. None are extravagant, but all are comfortable, cozy, and full of character. The three-bedroom apartment is the standout choice, followed by the two-bedroom (where we stayed) with the one-bedroom still being a very comfortable option. All guests share access to the excellent terrace and viewing deck.

+Very well equipped apartment in a good location, complimentary wine/cheese/pork loin
−While good value things are a little tired but still good value. Big negative was the bedroom very cosy and bed not comfortable for our tastes

+It was an Ikea dream with everything made available in box-type room. Location was good. Nice touches were the providing of a complimentary bottle of wine and cold cuts. Nice restaurants in the vicinity along with a laundromat and a provision store. The terrace and backyard provide good options for relaxation. The check-in processes were clear.
−To call this a one bedroom apartment is a bit of a stretch as it is best characterised as a cramped Studio Apartment, albeit with everything provided. Also, the free parking is a mischaracterisation and should read as free street parking subject to availability which, until the day trippers clear out by evening, means you might have to hunt for a parking and get one a long distance from the Apartment, although it is free. There is no private parking and this should be made clear.

“Disappointing town. Lovely outside town”
+The location in the town was good but lots of steep steps to access the room. Very clean room the bedding and towels were very clean. Good air con but very cramped. The best thing was the roof terrace

“View was Exceptional and made up for all the little negative comments”
+The Terrace was awesome and location was great.
−Seemed like host was very delayed responding to any message. Frustrating when it come to luggage storage details very vague which caused panic, no response to toliet seat so we tried to fix and check out details was 45 minutes before check out time (we were long gone by then). Tiny ants on kitchen counter and vanity. Bed was hard as a rock and pillow were not comfy.

“We really enjoyed our time at Casa Rocha and Pinhão.”
+The location is perfect - short walk from the train, right in town but up the back of the property so quiet. Groceries and restaurants are close by. The rooftop terrace had lovely views. The kitchenette was well stocked. There was wine and cheese in the room on arrival which was appreciated. There was reasonable storage space in the room.
−The bathroom was a bit compact but manageable for a short stay.
