+A well equipped and cozy little house. Loved the rooftop terrace for having breakfast. Just a short walk away from restaurants, cafes and shops. As the streets are rather narrow, we used the big parking lot near the public swimming pool.

“Lovely, comfortable little house in the historic district”
+Casa doce is a cleverly renovated old house in Silves’s historic center. Like all the old houses on the hillside, the footprint is small, but the renovations have made the most of the space and the result is a cute, comfortable house for 1-2 people. Extra kudos for the bathroom and kitchen remodel. It was rainy during my stay, so I could only briefly admire the rooftop terrace.
−The house is on one of the not-so-convenient side streets within the one-way system. I chose to park in a parking lot and ferry things back and forth. Personally, I love the character of this area, so happily deal with the slight inconvenience.

+The house is very welcoming, cosy, and well equipped. Sally was a wonderful host: she had the heating on when we arrived in the evening and welcomed us with a lovely welcome hamper. On check-out day, she also kindly took us to the train station. Great location and everything you need for a perfect stay.

+Lovely house, very well kitted out, has everything you might need for a stay. Lots of extra touches that make a difference. Clean and comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen. Good location, easy to walk to everywhere in Silves. Near the centre but quiet and peaceful. Excellent host - very helpful, responsive and thoughtful. Good WIFI. Had a great week there.

+Casa Doce is like a home from home. Sally has included many touches and extra provisions most hosts don’t consider important. We appreciated the stocked cupboards, welcome drinks and overview of places she recommended to explore. The home was cool and in a quiet neighbourhood with beautiful views from the terrace.
−The overhead fan in the bedroom was a welcome addition, otherwise the smaller bedroom could become stuffy.

+An excellent property, in the old town of Silves, very close to the castle and cathedral, and restaurants. Very tastefully decorated and well equipped. The roof terrace was a real bonus. The English owner could not have been more helpful. Free parking in the road. A couple of things to be aware of. The roads in the old part of Silves are narrow, so hire a small car. Also probably best to avoid if infirm. The shortish walk to the river where many of the facilities are is steep, as are the steps up to the roof terrace. Apart from this, I thoroughly recommend this property.
