+We had 2 beautiful nights here, house was perfectly located along the river. Walking distance to train station, shop and some restaurants. Francisco & Maria wre so friendly, gave us lots of local tips for tours,wine tasting. Wish we could have stayed for longer. House had everything.

+The property was beyond what we had imagined. Everything was perfect- right from the location, the rooms, the lovely living area, the kitvhen, the beautiful outdoors (and lovely seating across the property), the pool, the river (with fishes) and with personal kayaks at our disposal, the barbecue spot, the cherry and orange trees for us to pluck and eat and the stunning views. Every little thing added to the charm. As someone who’s travelled quite a bit, I can honestly say this was one of the best homes we have ever stayed in. What made it even more special was our amazing host, Francisco. His warmth and constant support really made us feel at home. Thank you, Francisco - you have created something truly special. We hope to be back again soon. It was a fantastic experience and we’re going back with unforgettable memories.

“No better place to stay.”
+The most amazing place to stay. We were four couples and had plenty of room to spread out. The home was clean and tidy. The host was great met us not the home and showed us everything we needed to know. Kayaks were available to use on the river right beside the house. The host above and beyond in making our stay great, arranging for a birthday cake to be made and delivered on my wifes birthday. Overall a perfect place to stay and Pinhao is a wonderful place to visit.

“The most welcoming experience in a beautiful part of the Douro valley!”
+What a beautiful setting, with the river by our door step and the vineyards all around us. The house had everything we needed! We also had a birthday whilst staying there, and the owner really went out of his way to make it a super special experience. Cannot fault this place and how welcome the owner made us feel!

“A very special place in an amazing location.”
+We loved the location among the vines right on the river but with an easy walk to town. The house is a beautiful comfortable home away from home and we especially enjoyed the variety of outdoor living areas. Dined outdoors every night. Would love to have stayed longer. Francisco is an outstanding host who gave us excellent recommendations.

“It was a perfect location for a quiet family Christmas celebration.”

“A little slice of heaven on the edge of Pinhao.”
+Casa do Riacho truly is a little gem! If u are in the Douro region this is the place to stay! It is beautifully situated on the Pinhao river that is peaceful and quiet ; the owners even supply kayaks for use! It is so peaceful; pretty ; clean ; we felt as if it was our little slice of heaven for a short time. The hosts are very responsive and try and make your stay perfect. It’s a short 5 minute walk to Pinhao Main Street , which also has great places to eat and wonderful quintas to try;
