“Perfect getaway”
+Gianlucca was an amazing host. He set the property up and left the keys for us so it was easy to collect. He was so helpful with local recommendations and even kindly booked us a table at a local place for dinner. The property was beautiful and the views were amazing, I would love to go back someday.
−The only issue with the property is the road you have to drive to get to it - it is a very difficult drive on a mountain so only for experienced drivers!

“Rural solitude with a view in the Tuscan hills.”
+This is a remote location which is exactly what we were looking for. At many times the birdsong and the humming of the bees were the only sounds heard. The view across the Tuscan hills to the sea and even to Elba and Corsica (on a good day) were beautiful. This is a converted herders cottage and we loved the authenticity. The modern swimming pool, while not fitting with the character of the cottage, was a very welcome addition to the property and we made much use of it. The city of Lucca is not far away and is a fascinating small Tuscan city. Shop before arriving.
−This is not so much a "didn't like" as just a comment that the final few kilometers to the cottage are on a very rough single-track road. Taken slowly and carefully it was not a problem. But it is 18km, mostly on a good road, to the main road and shops, so popping out for a forgotten item was not really an option. And yes, the parking could be a challenge to the faint-hearted but for all three of our drivers it was not a problem.

“A week off-grid relaxing, sunbathing, and reading in absolute privacy.”
+Secluded and private. Absolutely beautiful with sweeping views and gorgeous pool. Well-stocked kitchen with basics like salt and pepper, olive oil and some spices. Plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and even stovetop cappuccino and espresso makers. Lovely outdoor spaces - great grill, multiple eating areas including one with sun gazebo. The property is splendid during the day when the sun is shining and you can be out by the pool or eating at one of the many outdoor spaces. Our small dog loved the property and had free reign given that it's fully enclosed.
−After dark, the property is not cozy or comfortable. No living room or place to relax with a glass of wine. The beds were not the most comfortable. There is no dishwasher. Also no drinking water on the property, which is fine, but with the nearest grocery 45 minutes away by car, it's important to know this in advance and bring adequate supplies.

+Amazing host opened the pool a couple weeks earlier just for us. Beautiful location, but watch out if you are a scared/inexperienced driver for the small roads. Zero complaints!

+Die schöne ruhige Lage mit der tollen Aussicht,die gute Betreuung durch Gianluca- 👍 sowie der sehr schöne saubere Pool. Das ganze Grundstück ist umzäunt und sehr Hundefreundlich 😊
