“Actual room has nothing in amenities posted on the pics”
+I arrived at the door with no signs if that it was the right place. A man was standing at the door talking to someone in the building, who turned out to be a manager. A new customer arrived to buy flowers, and the manager asked me to wait while he sold flowers to another customer. Ok, not a problem, I can totally wait another 15 min to check in. He asked me to pay through Zelle while he was wrapping flowers. That moment I started suspecting something is very off and asked if I could pay after I saw the room.
−1. No soap, no towels, no toilet paper, no linen, beds are not made. I was supposed to ask for all that. 2. I booked a 2-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette. It was present in the pictures when I booked. Neither of the rooms I was offered had one. First room was more like a closet with a tiny shower. Another was bigger but no kitchenette.

−There was no smoke detectors anywhere in the room we had booked, it was an old store front turned into an apartment. It was very noisy at night, the in and out traffic of the building was super loud. People coming and going at all early hours. The street we were staying on seemed very safe tho. The staff was super friendly and made check in easy. I wouldn’t recommend if you’re bringing a kid with you just because it can stay noisy and sleeping was very hard to stay asleep.

“Manhattan beach bomb”
+I liked the full size mirror, I liked the LED lights and the television. The privacy and lock codes were well appreciated the extra layer of security.
−I didnt like that the bed is located right next to the stove. I didnt like that the water was extremely hot or extremely cold. I didnt like that i booked a 2 bedroom and got placed in a studio. I had to enter through the back entrance with garbage and other items blocking the passage way.

“European minimalism - maybe too minimal”
+After meeting someone who has the door codes to give you, it's easy to come and go and walkable to neighborhood shops in Brighton Beach.
−While it was clean, it was extremely minimal. There is no trash can inside, so I had to save bags to use for trash. There was no toilet paper, so I had to buy toilet paper. It was listed as a 2-bedroom, but it is essentially one room with a median wall - there are no doors between rooms, and there is only one light for both rooms. I would not recommend sharing with anyone you wouldn't already plan to be intimate with.

“Backcountry cabin but in NYC.”
+The location was alright, a bit of a ride from most of what we were doing, but not too bad. The overall space has the potential to be very cozy. My favorite thing was the kitchenette. It was well lit.
−I felt like I was renting a college guy's dorm room. There were no top sheets, the blanket/flat sheets provided were stained, the towels were gross and not enough, the bathroom was abysmal, the the whole place needed a good vacuum.
