+Bracken Dene is an absolute gem! Clean, comfortable, MUCH bigger than the photos would suggest! Enclosed and private back yard with extra seats stored in the sheltered wheelie bin area if needed, and a really long front garden with patio access and more seating. Huge smart TV with all the apps. Front porch is perfect for leaving your walking boots in, and very dog friendly with a large water bowl and a tin of treats! Private parking for 2 cars, lots more street parking immediately nearby. Corner shop a minute's walk away is pretty good for essentials and grabbing picnic snacks. Tea, coffee and sugar provided in the property. No awards for a stunning view or anything, but it's on a quiet estate and perfectly situated for sightseeing and walking. Comfy beds - I can only comment on my own mattress, it was fairly firm without being a full-on and uncomfortable orthopaedic mattress and perfect for my ailments. Property was clean as a whistle, one of cleanest places I've ever stayed in. I can't recommend highly enough, if my friend hadn't had to get back home for work, I would have asked Tracy if we could have stayed for another night!
−For the purposes of a more balanced review (I'm aware it's positively glowing just now!), my travelling companion asked me to mention it would be good if there was a towel rail in the bathroom rather than having to use the radiator, and the shower didn't get as hot as he would have liked. And it would be good to have a pizza tray or 2 rather that putting them directly on the oven shelf and the baking tray (which was covered in foil therefore we could just chuck the foil out instead of cleaning it). I hasten to add we have NO complaints whatsoever, my friend has asked me to post these comments to help other customers who may be more particular than we are. I've knocked a star off my review to acknowledge his attention to detail. Although I daresay, given what a lovely and comfortable property Bracken Dene is, Tracey will probably address all this ASAP!

+The house is better than in the photos on the website, large rooms and bathroom, all decorated to a high standard. The location is great for exploring the Northumberland coast. We went to Amble,Warkworth and Dunstonburgh. Had an excellent meal at the Fish Shack in Amble.

“Lovely stay”
+Close to the beach, spotless, nicely decorated, very spacious, well equipped, decent shower, helpful host
−The only slight downside was that the mattresses were not the thickest and fairly firm. I would recommend replacing them with a more modern and thicker mattress to create perfect sleep and a 10/10 score. Also, to have some fans to hand in this exceptional weather, though we did bring our own
