+I have been regularly going to Rome for years. This year, I stayed for two weeks in the Borgo Pio Experience apartment. Besides the location, which is of course excellent, I also highly recommend this apartment. Patrizio, who manages it, was very helpful, he fulfilled my requests, even such as buying a clothes drying rack for my wife. The apartment was well-equipped and clean.

“Amazing apartment !”
+Very spacy and comftorble apartmant right next to Vatican ! New decoration , quiet and even had a terrace to enjoy a glass of Wine ! The host is super friendly and helpful !

“Perfect family stay near Vatican”
+We had a wonderful stay here as a family of five. The layout was perfect for us, with parents upstairs and the kids comfortable in beds on the main level. Check-in and check-out were smooth and easy, which made travel stress-free. The location is excellent for visiting Vatican City,it is just steps away. Other major sites are a bit of a walk, but we knew that when booking and enjoyed exploring on foot. There are also plenty of good food options close by. Overall, a great choice for families looking to stay near the Vatican.

“Superb”
+The property is great for a bigger Group traveling together. The room that sleeps 4 is very nice. All was clean and communication with the owners was easy and very pleasant
−There was too much light in the morning coming from the celing window. It would be great if the ceiling window could be covered

“Great location but some serious issues with property”
+Location was excellent, close to Vatican, gelato, food and taxi pick up. Liked the terrace on roof.
−Air conditioning did not work downstairs. There was one unit in family room that had no cold air and the downstairs bedroom with 2 beds has no air conditioning, just a fan. It was baking hot. Upstairs air was fine but very steep and sketch stairs to get there. Finally, the bathrooms were mediocre. Shower downstairs flooded and upstairs didn’t work - just a hand held in tub. We were only there 2 short nights so dealt with it but I would not go back to this property.

“Raw Sewage No Air Conditioning Complete Nightmare BEWARE”
+Location to Vatican is ALL!! Nothing else!!
−This property was a complete disaster from the start. It is on the 4th floor you drag carry haul your luggage up 7 flights of stairs. When we finally get to the apartment it’s 26C in the apartment that’s 80F which is hot. We turn on the so called air conditioning and head out. We return 6 hours later it’s late and dark outside to find it 27C. It’s cooler outside than in this apartment. We open the bathroom door it smells of raw sewage so bad we can even use the toilet more less take a shower or brush our teeth. We close the door back. Imagine the raw sewage with over 85 degrees it’s beyond gross. I contact owner he says he will handle it tomorrow. Really it’s beyond gross. We use the tiny facility upstairs to all take a shower with no hot water mildly Luke warm at best. We could not sleep at all that night we had windows open because it was so hot. Morning comes I contact owner again tell him my concerns. He sends his cousin with wall plug ins to cover up the bathroom smell! Can you imagine? It’s so nasty. Brings a fan and says the air works upstairs that’s good enough . It was completely miserable and the entire downstairs was at 28C by this point. Needless to say we left. He refu

+It is near the Vatican
−It was not mentioned it has about 9-10 flights of stairs. Yes, "flights of stairs". Not suitable for international travellers with big luggages and those with heart conditions. Before arrival (March 2025), after paying full, I was told that there was an error with the price so they had to increase which I agreed to pay after reading the" good reviews"😔. Sad to say, I wish we booked a hotel nearby instead. It is an old apt. The feeling when you enter an old house and you're not sure which one is not working. Water pressure was poor, no hot water in the sink, no complimentary drinking water. Can't have a decent shower after a long flight. Giuseppe arrived late. Neighborhood is not friendly..
