“A stunning house with a big garden, very family friendly”
+The house was absolutely beautiful and spacious. We loves the garden for our kids and dog. The host was very communicative. The location was great, just a short walk to the shops and restaurants.

+A beautiful 3/4 bedroom house with lovely terrace and garden situated a 6 minute stroll from the centre of Hermanus. The house is beautifully decorated and has a good kitchen and a Smart TV. It also has a garage which allows off street car parking.

“Charming”
+A charming place with great facilities and very centrally located in the town. Most places were about a 10-minute walk away.
−The beautiful dining table on the veranda has one broken leg that is propped up by a loose tiny, block of wood. This is dangerous because if anyone were to move the table slightly by accident, it could result in injury is there are hot beverages, food, or candles on the table at the time. This lovely house is ideal for three couples and possibly one child (not 7 adults requiring four private bedrooms). The one "bedroom" is in a corner of an open plan area that leads to the communal bathroom. It did, however, have a small screen to provide some privacy.

“We were really disappointed with our stay and ended up leaving early.”
−We were really disappointed with our stay and ended up leaving early. The photos on the listing are misleading as the property is much older than it appears online. There were strange, unsettling noises/movement/happenings at night that made us feel very uncomfortable. On top of that, the power tripped twice during our stay, which added to the frustration. The braai (BBQ) grid was rusty and clearly not usable. The “off-street parking” is a tiny, narrow space right next to the house , barely enough room to get in or out of the car, especially if you drive anything larger than a small sedan. The house is directly opposite a police station and on a busy road, which made it noisy and far from peaceful. We reached out to request a refund due to all these issues, but only received a partial one, which was disappointing given the circumstances. Unfortunately, this stay did not live up to our expectations at all.
