“Place and surrounding are lovely house just needs a quick count up of the crockery and cutlery”
+The location was great for exploring the City of Durham and surrounding areas.
−Lack of crockery and cutlery. Only towels for 4 people when we were a party of 5. Back bedroom window doesn’t shut properly and extremely drafty especially with winds we experienced. Smart TV is not the best as previous occupants had logged in and created account on most apps and this was restricting our viewing. Amazon prime is logged in unknown to me language so we couldn’t I use it. Place was comfortable, but lack of stuff in kitchen to make and eat a meal let my elderly parents unhappy 3 teaspoons 3 bowls 4 forks all glassware dirty

+Great value for money. Clean and comfortable (also warm despite the chilly spring weather). Good, and relatively new facilities and all in working order.
−A dishwasher would have been good, but no big deal in our case. Slightly random, but there were two lamps in the living room, however no sockets to plug them into.

+We had a lovely stay here. Lovely property and clean. Location is great too - only a 20 minute drive from the lovely town of Durham. The box of chocolates and the bottle of prosecco was much appreciated and we loved that there was a decorated Christmas tree in the living room as we were here over Christmas. Would recommend this property.
−The only two things (if I want to be picky) were that the pillows were really not comfortable and the smell of damp in the upstairs ensuit bathroom but we left the window open for a bit and after every shower. You could no longer smell it after the first day.

“Great value for money and a good alternative to Hotels and B&Bs. We would stay again.”
+While the property is a modern semi detached house on a new estate in Spennymoor, not your traditional holiday let, it was presented in a good condition and its location was surprisingly quiet and suitable for Durham and many of the local tourist destinations, including Beamish and the coast. Allocated parking was a bonus with good access to the rear of the property.
−The on suite shower could have been better cleaned but the rest of the house was quite clean. The neighbours dog did give us a scare when we first arrived as we were not expecting the barking from immediately behind the adjacent fence, but it was well behaved for the rest of of our stay.
