“Generally unpleasant”
+Location
−Unfortunately I did not read the earlier reviews of this property before booking. Firstly there is dirt in cupboards and on ledges. Kitchen utensils were minimal and no hair dryer for my partner. The hot plate did not work and from earlier reports has been out of action for at least 3 years.($88 for a replacement plug in from Harvey Norman .) No electric fry pan which can be found at Garage Sales for a few dollars. I cannot remember seeing a toaster.(Apparently there is a problem with the wiring to the unit and this has been expressed by others.) Tiled floor was covered with dirty brown marks that need to be scrubbed to remove TV would not show ABC and SBS. Outside furniture was 2 plastic chairs- no table Photos show a bed light but it was not there and has not been there for years. (It would be cheap to replace.) Lack of power points generally but especially in bedroom. We were there when the weather was over 34 degrees for 6 days and the only cooling was a single fan for the two rooms. (Also read comment from others over the last 3 years who have been there in heat and Perth can be hot.) Owner was obliging when requested but we had to ask for top sheets for the beds as there was

“waste of time and money and only stayed one night out of two avoid regardless of price and location.”
−We knew they were single beds but the beds themselves were horrible uncomfortable and old, the air conditioner was out of order and it wasn't recent!!! and the temperature was pushing high 30's they provided a fan which cooled the fan but apparently there is an issue with the power to the unit so you cant run appliances at the same time which tells me that is why the air conditioner that probably works is not usable.. The premises is unclean with dust and cobwebs on most surfaces. This air bnb would only be rented because people that know Perth see the suburb as elite and upper class but with out doubt this is the worst premises that I have stayed in on airbnb. The host was lovely but Avoid at all costs regardless until they understand the standard that should be expected.

“The owners of the cottage were very nice!”
+I liked the quiet and privacy. The area is nice. The river is nearby and scenic. This is in an older well established neighborhood of classic, larger well maintained homes, huge trees and beautiful gardens. There is a small but adequate shopping village nearby (10 min walk) with food store, cafe, card shop, Italian restaurant, etc.

“Substandard and would not return”
+The hosts were nice people
−Breakfast was not provided. The place was dirty and there was no kitchen cooker connected. It was cold as only a small electric heater was provided. There was no proper crockery and 1 teaspoon. On Saturday the lights went out and we had to use a plug in uplighter and third was not repaired until Tuesday. The entrance to the property was over grass and as it rained a lot while we were there it was very wet. The extra blankets were stained and damp
