“A lovely villa in a great location”
+The villa is set in a lovely location which is walkable to the old village in less than 10 minutes and the Marina in around 20. It backs onto a golf course and is in a quiet cul de sac so is quiet other than some local dogs that seem to bark 24/7. The villa is clean and well equipped
−The dogs barking was annoying but nothing the villa owner can control. There were a few maintenance issues that need addressing. One of the toilet seats is broken and difficult to use. Also the cobbled path from the gate to the front door has several raised and loose cobbles which are a trip hazard especially if you arrive when it is dark

“Great Portuguese villa with a fab pool”
+Loved the open plan interiors and the pool area is wonderful They provided a cot and high chair which was very handy and the aircon was brilliant
−The location is a little out of the way so you definitely need a car but Ubers are also very cheap

“Perfect family break”
+The villa was amazing. I had my family with me on a work trip, and it was just perfect. If you want a family villa with lovely surroundings and great connections, this is a great choice.
−There could be few more BBQ cooking tools available. Also, mosquito nets on the doors and windows; other than that, perfect.

+Quiet, relaxing, traditional Villa. Great pool. Pretty much everything you need for a great holiday!
−If I am to supply some constructive feedback, I feel that the pathway at the front of the Villa requires some remedial work as lots of the stones are loose. I think the steps in and around the villa also need some safety markings to distinguish where they are as easy to mis-step on them. Its probably slightly dated in style when compared to some of the more modern Villas, but that is part of its charm.

+Everything, the house has everything you could think of for a family self-catering holiday.
−The only thing and very minor was there was no walk in shower. Other than that its perfect.

“Peaceful relaxed house to stay in with lovely pool to cool down”
+Perfect for us. It was very quiet area and had everything we needed and more . A car is useful but not essential. Taxi/uber was very easy to book and good value .

“Fantastic, peaceful setting; great pool and garden.”
+Had really enjoyable stay in Alsouk. Beautiful, peaceful setting with great pool and garden and covered outdoor dining and seating area. Character filled villa with all amenities needed, found beds v comfortable. Hosts easily contactable and quick to resolve very minor issue (damaged sun umbrella replaced by the lovely Paula). Quarteria beach and Vilamoura Marina less than 10 mins in Uber which were never more than 5min wait. Under 30 mins from Faro airport so easy get to. Minimarket 5min walk away, Spar 10- 15min walk. Other larger stores 10mins/€4-5 in Uber. Perfect for relaxing chill out break (and right beside golf course if that's your torture!). Was a little wary of bank transfer payment method initially as normally pay through Bookings, but Alex quick to respind to all queries; no issues and deposit returned within 48hrs! Would absolutely love to visit again!
−While adequete, one of bedroom aircon units not quite as effective as other rooms which were excellent, even in 35-40C. Room was not unusable, just did not cool as well in comparision to others.
