+The place is beautifully designed and very clean and functional. The kitchen and living room space is big, really well lit with big windows, and very comfertable, in a street where practically no car passes, so it was very quiet. The outside area with the pool is great and there is a covered area to dine and barbeque outside which we also used and loved! The owner is super sweet and very responsive. Highly recommended!

“Beautiful location, amazing property, perfect for a family or a few couples”
+The house is a beautiful renovation by the owner (a contractor). The owner Miguel, was amazing. He dropped by to check in and we had a wonderful talk. The facilities are great (kitchen, BBQ, pool, outside and inside eating area). The house is very comfortable with 3 roomy bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. This place is great for a family or a few couples. You can easily park two cars. You are a quick 15 min drive from Amarante (beautiful) and 40 minutes to Guimaraes (very nice, lots of tourists). You will have to drive to get groceries as there isn't much close you are in a completely in a residential area.
−Finding the place is the biggest challenge. You can get close but the last 200 meters is tricky. There are dogs and roosters that make quite a bit of noise. We heard them in the upper bedroom, but the lower bedrooms did not hear anything. Getting to the wine areas in the Douro is a bit of a hike with a car with some crazy roads.

“Relaxing, peaceful, excellently appointed property run by a charming host.”
+The house was spacious, well set out, very well appointed with excellent bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. The house retained some features of the original property. It was set in a quiet area with nice views of the local village and hills from the terrace. The owner, Miguel, was charming, welcoming and extremely helpful with recommendations of the local area. Amarante was a 15 minute drive away, and had plenty of shops, restaurants and places to visit. We would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again.

“Wonderful villa, with spectacular views in relaxing environment”
+Wonderful house with al necessity in place (and more!). Very friendly sympathetic host, who is only thinking about creating a memorable time for you in his house. Miguel even arranged that each morning fresh bread was delivered to the house. We are even thinking to rent one of his other rentals for the fall (apartments).

“Heerlijk huis om vanuit daar alle mooie dingen in de buurt te gaan bekijken!”
+is een prachtig gerestaureerd huis, van alle gemakken voorzien. Alleen is er op de benedenverdieping geen airco aanwezig. Je hebt wel een auto nodig want lopend is alles te ver. Prachtige omgeving om dingen te bekijken en bezoeken. De plaats Amarante, op circa 10 minuten auto afstand is erg leuk en vol met restaurants, bakkers etc.

“Casa fantastica para explorar el norte de Portugal”
+Casa espectacular, muy comoda y agradable. Pero lo mejor de todo fue el anfitrión, Miguel es una persona espectacular que nos trato como amigos desde el primer momento. Tuvo detalles con nosotros que excedieron nuestras expectativas. No queríamos irnos!
