10.0+It was a lovely period house in a great location. Fernando was an exceptional host, arranging airport transfers and met us at the property, despite it being late, to give us a tour of the house and tell us about it's history. He made sure we had everything we needed and was insistent that we message him if we needed anything. The house retains many original features but has also boasts a modern kitchen and bathroom. It was so lovely to stay somewhere with so much character. Fernando also sent details of places to eat and local shops...the bakery he recommended was amazing! The beds were really comfy and all the bedrooms had air-conditioning. The rest of the house stayed nice and cool too as we followed Fernando's instructions about keeping the shutters closed at certain times. There are lots of lovely bars within a few minutes walk of the property but none close enough to make any noise. It is an easy walk into the older parts of Porto. We didn't bother with any public transport when we were there because we could walk to all the places we wanted to go. I would thoroughly recommend no 57 and hope very much to be back to stay there again very soon 😀

10.0“A charming stay in Porto”
+We had an amazing time in Porto, and this place was perfect for our group of five. 57 is in a quiet, mostly residential part of Bonfim, but still close to shops, cafes, and bars. Plus, all the historic sights are just a short walk away. Fernando was a fantastic host, super welcoming and attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Communication was smooth and really helpful before our trip. We’d love to stay here again!
−Just a heads-up if you’re a light sleeper: like many historic buildings, soundproofing isn’t perfect, and with the cobblestone streets, there can be some noise. If that’s a concern, bringing earplugs might help.

10.0“Exceptional”
+We had a fantastic break in no 57. The house was amazing : very authentic . The host Fernando was very welcoming and gave us lots of information about the house and its history. He also gave us many tips about things to do in Porto. The house is very spacious and very well looked after. There was also a heating for the chilly mornings and evenings which we appreciated.
