“Great little base close to everything we needed.”
+What we liked: Location- most of the local attractions within a 15-minute walk. Plenty of great eateries nearby. Aldi at the top of the road. Comfy beds- the single bed is a Z-bed in an alcove but still comfy. Well-stocked toiletries including shower gel and sun cream. Washing machine/ airer/ clothes line available. Tower fan provided in the main bedroom. Lots of clothes storage in the main bedroom. Everything you need in the kitchen including tea/coffee/sugar, washing up liquid and sponge/cloths etc.
−What we would have liked: A set of towels per person- only one set to share was provided. (Booking seems to have assumed that a 2-adult booking was a couple, rather than a parent and adult child, but even so a towel each would be preferred.) Clothes storage/ table for a lamp in the second bedroom please- the light bulb is harsh. A shelf/ table in the bathroom on which to place clothes etc while showering. (We used the clothes airer to hang things up, but somewhere to put makeup and deodorants would be great. Parking is free on-street, but the streets are narrow and crowded with lots of one-ways. Pay attention to the road markings and be prepared to park a few streets away until you can get closer.

“Clean but will not book again because of the stench outside.”
+The property was well maintained and clean.
−It was very smelly outside. Likely because of the heat and the garbage. Not sure who was responsible but entering the house was not a pleasant experience. Parking was limited. I had to move my car many times. There is only double bed but the other beds are temporary ones which are not comfortable to sleep on at all.

“Pleasant stay in Margate but spoilt on the whole by no running hot water due to the shower being broke - and lack of com”
+Good location about 5-6 minutes walk from the beach and the promenade Clean & spacious property
−The Shower didn’t work (no hot water) for the whole three days we were there. So had to have a stand up wash in the sink 🙁 I Contacted the landlord who couldn’t get a engineer to fix the boiler for the first two days because of being unable to get the new part to fix it due to the stockist not being open on a Sunday (could have ordered one online perhaps quicker) It got to Monday night and I had heard nothing from the landlord who said he hadn’t messaged her yet about coming to fix it ! ? I Was promised compensation directly by the landlord in a prior conversation for no shower during our whole stay but has since proceeded to completely ignore me since we checked out after 3 days (with no shower during our/ bath in all that time ) I’m very reluctant to give reviews normally but on this occasion; honesty is the best policy Be careful before booking a stay here !

“Dissapointed”
−It wasn't obvious from advert that it was a basement. The main bed was uncomfortable. The single beds were folding beds and in space without windows or doors. The furniture, kitchen and fittings were basic, but clean and perfectly useable. We would not stay there again.

+The property was good value for money. Lots of things were provided, tea, sugar, shower wash, lots of Toiletries dont bring anything but milk, until you arrive and see what you need
−What I wasn't happy about is the fact that the neighbours garden looks directly into the lounge/ kitchen, through the patio doors and it felt very uncomfortable and kept the curtains closed most of the time. As for the 2 small bedrooms, if you could them bedrooms, just a bed and an old metal cabinet on the wall, sparse, which looked seriously scary, my grandchildren wouldn't never have slept in them. No doors to keep out the cold from the drafty front door

“Good size, good location, not too luxurious.”
+Good size bedroom, kitchen/ lounge room and bathroom.
−No instructions were available for wifi, heating, hot water, TV. No terrestial TV. Limited utensils in the kitchen. Only one usable bedroom, with two camp beds in separate curtained or doored alcoves off the hall.

“Bit moldy”
+Large area with lots of beds in a good location for the price.
−Quite a lot of mold dotted around various areas in the house due to leaks and other dampness.
