“Nice location, unresponsive host, disappointing stay”
+Location was great, near the railway station and pretty much next to a bakery, shops with lots of breakfast options. The place was easy to find. It was also quiet. It was nice to have a little balcony.
−Unfortunately, we found quite a few little problems and two major ones. The first major one was that the shower was completely blocked and wouldn't drain (a plunger was provided, but this did hardly anything). The second problem was that when I reported this it was met with no response. Otherwise, there were no lightbulbs in one of the lamps, one reading light between two bedrooms. Especially after I got no response from reporting the non-draining shower, I just got the impression that whoever owns this puts in as little effort as they can get away with.

“Lovely apartment”
+Very nice apartment, looks a lot better in person than the photos give credit for. Lovely bathrooms and living area including a nice balcony to relax on. Kitchen had everything we needed.
−Fridge wasn’t really working and did not get cold enough to chill food.

−Need instructions on how to open the balcony door, how to use the stove, extractor fan did not work. The place after cleaning needs to be supervised as there were no pillow cases, in one of the bedrooms. There were cleaning rags still in the dryer. I thought the 4pm check out was the latest I have seen anywhere in the world I have been. The early check out and late check in was for the staff to clean but the owners use it to make extra money from guests and charge extra 11 pounds per hour if you want to check out later or check in later. This leaves a bad taste. There should be some flexibility. There were no hooks in the toilet to hang the towers or your nightgown.

“Poor”
−There were no towels left for us to use and there were no sheets provided for the third fold out bed. When message the landlord about issues no response but was bombarded with messages about spending extra money for late check out or early check in.

+The location is nice, and the apartment is well equipped with great potential. A few finishing touches and more attention to detail from the host could really elevate the experience (see problems mentioned below).
−I do not understand the tendency of the hosts to save on essentials. We stayed 6 days, yet received: - only ONE dishwasher tablet, - a nearly empty and heavily diluted dish soap dispenser, - a kitchen paper roll with just a few sheets left. Despite repeated messages and several promises like “we will bring it tomorrow,” nothing was delivered. It’s a basic expectation to have essential kitchen supplies available, especially for longer stays.

“Highly recommend!”
+Everything was perfect for our visit to Cambridge. Great location-1 min walk from the train station and a lovely 15 walk from town along the Main Street which is filled with shops and restaurants. The apartment is spacious, and exactly as appears in the pictures, and the kitchen is fully equipped with all necessities. Very secure. In. Quiet neighborhood.

+It was a great experience. The booking process through the Booking app was excellent and the offer for rent to the apartment owner was honest as shown. The apartment is very wonderful with two beautiful and comfortable rooms and a spacious living room with all the necessary supplies for daily use. Honestly, I advise anyone who loves to visit Cambridge not to miss this apartment based on my experience.
−There are no negative comments about the accommodation for me and for the purpose of my rental as I would go out in the morning for an errand and return at the end of the day.

“Affordable accommodation”
+Host supplied little videos of how to find property, collect the keys, how to find the parking bay and how to find the flat which were excellent
−2nd bedroom was extremely noisy we think due to the air con in the garage area a few minor things like main light in2nd bedroom not working, standard lamp in living area had no bulbs, could have done with a couple of mirrors in the bedroom areas but these are picky things and did not hinder our short break in Cambridge.
